Sales Director - FMCG Spirits (Gin)

London - With extensive travel

£75,000 basic

The role -

This is a multi-functional role predominantly driving sales and guiding the marketing function, with two direct reports you will focus on driving sales through opening key accounts in the UK and extending the distribution into Europe in the short term. The focus is on sales, sales, sales and creating on trade and B2C awareness amongst the right audience for the product. You will report directly into the CEO of the company.

Key Responsibilities -

* Devise a Sales & Marketing plan in line with company objectives for the market
* Manage existing distributor relationships
* Open Regional & National Accounts within the UK for both the on and off trade
* Achieve target set of both UK and European sales
* Mentor and develop team
* P&L Accountability
* Press coverage and online platforms

Who will you be?

* Relevant and current industry experience (on and off trade to include grocery multiples and specialist retailers).
* Experience of identifying, closing, negotiating with, and managing UK/Europe distributors.
* Good presentation skills; with focus on delivering management reports and ability to present at board level.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent team management and motivation skills.
* Advanced in Microsoft Office (PPT, Excel etc)
* Performance and KPI driven, results oriented.
* A team player, able to represent the brand, support the brand ambassador and wider team at events / key customer visits.
* An industry expert - interest in Gin
* A self-starter tenacious and resilient.
* Proactive solutions orientated approach.
* Able to travel on business to Europe and USA
