SPEAR is delighted to announce that funding has been awarded to continue helping rough sleepers across five South West London boroughs and find new solutions to prevent homelessness. This service not only works with those sleeping rough, but it will also continue the work along our pathway to ensure that our clients receive the support they need right through to being accommodated in supported living, and then onto independent living. SPEAR are now recruiting a Tenancy Support Worker to make up a team of workers in our growing South West London Resettlement service that will be delivered to previously homeless people in Kingston, Wandsworth, Merton, Richmond and Sutton. This service delivers support to ex rough sleepers who have moved along our accommodation pathway from outreach services into independent accommodation. Tenancy Support Workers work with referrals from our Outreach Service, Health Link Service and other agencies. This role will be responsible for delivering support to our clients once they are accommodated, enabling our clients to be become independent and empowering them to manage their tenancies. Therefore this role requires an individual with the ability to assist clients who have challenging and complex behaviours with consistent asset based support through their stay with the service. For this role we require an individual who has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-agency work, working in partnerships with other organisations and professionals. Due to vulnerability of the SPEAR client group you will be required to complete a full enhanced DBS and full clean driving licence and access to a car would be an advantage.
